Gorgeous Guided Walks offers a series of interpretive walks through the Cataract Gorge in Launceston. Here you will find a dramatic piece of natural wilderness just a few minutes from Launceston’s central city.

A Grand Entry TourThis walk guides visitors into the Cataract Gorge Reserve from the Kings Bridge entry which is just a short stroll from the city. Learn about the amazing development of the bridge, the Main Walk and the Victorian Gardens in the Cliff Grounds - all of which began well over a century ago. One kilometre and duration is 1.5 hours. A Wander In Our Garden TourSpend a very informative hour and a half with our gardening "guru" Les Hodge. On this walk, Les puts our gardens under the microscope but this is no mundane stroll. Be prepared for some ripping yarns and good belly laughs as this typically local "character" educates you in a delightfully entertaining style. 1.3 kilometres and duration is 1.5 hours. Back to the Future TourLong ago momentous geological upheavals and the subsequent erosion created the Cataract Gorge that we see before us today. This is our main guided walk concentrating on the geology of the Gorge and the magnificent Victorian Gardens in the Cliff Grounds. 1.3 kilometres and duration is one hour. Mind The Skinks TourIf the computer replaced the typewriter and digital photography is overtaking film, what displaced gas lighting? Come with us and visit one of the earliest hydro power stations in Australia. On the walk please give way to the skinks. Option One: walk to the Duck Reach Power Station then return (4.4 kilometres). Option Two: continue on past the power station on a 5.1 kilometre round trip. 5.1 kilometres and duration is two hours. Up Up and Away TourThis scenic walk takes you to where the eagles soar. You will rise to breathtaking heights while we take you to several vantage points in the Cataract Gorge Reserve. Take a birds eye peek from all the main lookouts.
