Bridport Seaside Lodge
Bridport Seaside Lodge is a YHA hostel in seaside Bridport in north-east Tasmania.
The Lodge offers a range of budget accommodation in four-bed dormitories, twin rooms and family en suites. Some rooms have double beds. There is a large self-catering kitchen, lounge, television room, laundry facilities, and deck barbecue. You can hire canoes and bicycles on site and fishing charters can be arranged. You are just a five-minute stroll from Bridport’s bakery, bistros, post office, internet cafe and shops. Several attractive, safe and sheltered swimming beaches are also close by – or you can take the two-hour walk to the wildflower reserve.
From Bridport, it is a comfortable drive to visit the spectacular purple-striped fields of the Bridestowe Lavender Farm and the cool-climate vineyards along the Tamar Wine Route. You can also visit Seahorse World at Beauty Point, the beach walks and wildlife of Mt William National Park and the Forest Eco Centre in Scottsdale. Learn about the mining history of the region at the historic mining towns of Derby, Gladstone and Weldborough on the Trail of the Tin Dragon.
Bridport is just over one hours’ (85 kilometres/53 miles) drive from Launceston.
