Scamander Beach Shack
Scamander Beach Shack offers a beach house getaway in Scamander on Tasmania's sunny east coast. Enjoy uninterrupted views of waves and the Scamander River mouth.
The shack has two bedrooms and is ideal for a couple or a small family. The main bedroom is appointed with a queen-size bed and the second room has a double bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and conventional oven as well as laundry facilities. A heat pump quickly warms the shack in winter, and there is a spacious verandah to enjoy the view.
Wander along one of Tasmania’s premium surfing beaches, located across the road from the shack. Book a fishing charter or try your luck at beach fishing. The Scamander River is renowned for its superb bream fishing. Keep a look out for dolphins from the verandah or walk for miles beside the turquoise water. Drive the short distance to St Columba Falls. Set in pristine wilderness, these are the highest falls in Tasmania. Visit the Bay of Fires and you will find fishing lagoons, beautiful beaches and colourful wildflowers.
The shack is approximately 15-minutes’ drive from St Helens and around two-hours’ drive from Launceston (165 kilometres/102 miles).
