The Flying Teapot Garden Cafe and Gallery is located at Bridport, north-east Tasmania.
The Flying Teapot is part of Manalanga Farm, a 162-hectare (400 acre) Angus cattle farm. The Manalanga homestead, built in the 1870s and is surrounded by delightful gardens. You can enjoy light meals, coffee and cakes in the café, which has views of the farm and gardens. Browse the range of north-east Tasmanian produce and crafts. In the gallery, you can see work by resident artist John Gibbs, whose watercolour paintings feature the ‘rain-washed and wind-swept’ Tasmanian landscape. John regularly conducts painting workshops at the gallery, and pottery and drawing courses are also offered. The Flying Teapot is part of the North East Garden Lovers Trail, a showcase of 12 Tasmanian gardens located between Bridport and Winnaleah.
Manalanga Farm is owned by Roger and Wendy McLennan. Roger is an avid ultra-light aircraft pilot and Manalanga Farm has an 850-metre grass, light aircraft runway. You can choose to drive or fly when you visit the Flying Teapot.
Bridport is a coastal town overlooking Anderson Bay, one hours’ drive from Launceston (85 kilometres/53 miles).
