Abbey's On The Terrace
Abbeys On The Terrace is a self-contained seaside cottage in Stanley, north west Tasmania. Stanley is 90 minutes west of Devonport (127 kilometres/79 miles) and an hour from Burnie (78 kilometres/48 miles).
With views of Sawyer Bay from most rooms in the house, Abbeys on the Terrace offers a queen-size main bedroom, second, twin-share bedroom and an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. The living area has a VCR, CD player, complimentary port, games and books and the fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with breakfast provisions including cereals, home made jams, juice, fruit, bread, and a selection of tea and coffee. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and there is also a separate toilet and fully-equipped laundry.
You can enjoy ocean views from the shady porch, breathing in the fragrance of the cottage garden. Go walking or take a swim at a nearby beach, or visit Stanley’s shops and cafes. A dramatic geological feature of the area is the Nut. Discovered by explorers Bass and Flinders in 1798, this 152m high rock outcrop is the stump of an ancient volcano. You can climb to the top, or take the chairlift to enjoy breathtaking ocean views.
