Arties is a delightful two-storey holiday cottage at Marrawah on Tasmania’s far north west coast. It is set back from the road on three acres, providing relaxing self-contained accommodation at the gateway to the Arthur Pieman/Tarkine Conservation Areas. Peaceful and quiet, the cottage features a full kitchen, laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer, games room and barbeque facilities. Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests.
Arties is a perfect base for the observation of abundant native wildlife, rainforest walks and off-road four-wheel drive expeditions. Other local activities include fishing (rock, surf, river, and estuary), canoeing, surfing, wind surfing, wave sailing, Arthur River Boat Tours, Kings Run Tasmanian Devil/Wildlife Tours, a visit to the Mount Cameron aboriginal area and Dismal Swamp.
Arties is also just a few minutes from the Marrawah General Store and Marrawah Hotel.
Marrawah is a peaceful farming area on the rugged far northwest coast of Tasmania. The town is known for its awesome surfing, breath-taking southern beaches, amazing coastal walks, good fishing and opportunities to find highly-prized abalone shellfish on the rocks. River cruises and canoeing are available at the mouth of the Arthur River just a short drive away.
