Glendonald Cottage
Glendonald Cottage offers self-contained accommodation at Marrawah, in far north west Tasmania. Marrawah is 45 minutes’ drive south west of Smithton (48 kilometres) and an hour from Stanley (60 kilometres).
The fully self-contained, three bedroom Cottage is located on the edge of a 200-acre (81-hectare) farm. The property has a double bed in the master bedroom, a set of single bunks in the second bedroom and a single bed in a third bedroom/sunroom. There is a separate bathroom and open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fully-equipped, and the living area has a wood heater, comfortable lounges and television. The cottage also has a well-equipped laundry.
Glendonald Cottage and the adjoining farm are owned by Geoff King, who is also the third generation owner of King’s Run—an 830-acre (336 hectare) coastal nature reserve overlooking the Southern Ocean, 14 kilometres south of Marrawah. Here you can join Kings Run Wildlife Tours. You’ll experience the natural values of this environment, including rare flora, history, and nocturnal Tasmanian wildlife. You will have the chance to see bandicoots, wombats, wallabies, possums and spotted tailed quolls—and the world’s largest carnivorous marsupial, the Tasmanian devil.
