Steele’s Island Accommodation is a beach homestead and cottage at Carlton Beach, southeast of Hobart. The property is a 40-minute drive from Hobart’s central business district, and 20 minutes from Hobart airport.
The six-bedroom homestead can accommodate at least 20 guests. There is a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen and laundry and each room has an ensuite bathroom. The large, open-plan living area also has a heated slate floor. Other facilities include an 11-person spa, eight-person sauna and a games room.
The two-bedroom, self-contained cottage has a double bed and two sets of bunks, sleeping six guests. Continental breakfast provisions are supplied for all guests. Activities include tennis, mini golf, sand volleyball, beach cricket, kayaking, and island and beach walks. There are two outdoor barbecue areas.
Steele’s Island is a small, privately-owned island accessible by car. It is located at the mouth of the Carlton River and overlooks Carlton Beach.
