Tasman Island Cruises offer a spectacular three-hour eco-cruise along the Tasman Peninsula coastline, Southern Tasmania.
Cruise along the extraordinary coastline of Tasman National Park, between Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur and experience the highest sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere. Look in awe at the magnificent scenery of Tasman Island and Cape Pillar as you weave in and out of deep sea caves.
Cruise below the cliffs in search of hundreds of seals, migrating whales and abundant bird species. You’re likely to see the feeding frenzy of diving gannets, albatrosses and sea eagles wheeling on the wind, cliff-nesting peregrine falcons and playful dolphins surfing in the bow wave of the boat.

Choose to drive to Port Arthur by car to take the three-hour eco-cruise or join the full-day tour from Hobart. On this tour you also have the option of spending 2.5 hours at Port Arthur Historic Site before returning to Hobart.

Port Arthur Coach Service Day TourSit back and enjoy a leisurely drive from Hobart down to Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur Historic Site. The full-day tour includes commentary from knowledgeable staff on your journey down to Port Arthur, and several hours for you to explore one of Australia's most significant historic sites. Take a 20-minute interpretive harbour cruise and hear stories of convict life. By mid-afternoon, rejoin the staff for your return trip to Hobart. This is the perfect way to explore the Port Arthur Historic Site without the hassles of organising transport. Tasman Island Cruise Full Day TourThe full day tour leaves Hobart's Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre at 8am (Corner of Davey and Elizabeth Streets) and returns by 5pm. The day of adventure includes bus transport, three hour eco-cruise, morning tea and lunch as well as return transfers to Hobart. As you cruise along the rugged coastline of Tasman National Park keep an eye out for prolific wildlife and birdlife including seals, sea eagles and sometimes even migrating humpback and southern right whales. You will pass deep sea caves, rock formations including The Candlestick and some of the highest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere. You also have the optional extra of a 2.5 hour visit to Port Arthur Historic site after your cruise for an additional $55. Three Hour Eco-Cruise TourTasman Island Cruises offer three-hour cruises departing from their booking centre at Port Arthur at 10am and 2pm, December to May, and at 10am June to November. The three hour eco-cruise travels along the spectacular coastline of the Tasman National Park, departing from the booking centre at Port Arthur. From December to May, cruises depart at 10am and 2pm, and at 10am from June to November. Prepare yourself to see some of the highest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere, and marine wildlife including seals, albatrosses, sea eagles and the possibility of migrating whales between September and December as well as April and May. Warm dress is recommended and bookings are essential. Tours are not suitable for wheelchair access. | |
