Palm House is a charming Victorian home built in the Goldrush of the 1860's, set in an extensive garden.
The house is located on the High Street within the historic precinct of National Trust classified Maldon, Victoria's first notable town. Maldon is in the goldfields region north-west of Melbourne. Historic Maldon's cafés, restaurants, public houses and antique shops are situated a short stroll from the house.
Room and facilities
Four beautifully restored bedrooms await your stay. Each room contains a Queen size bed with heating for the colder months.
The Cream Room features separate veranda access and ensuite with spa bath. The Red Room, including ensuite, also contains a single bed and may be used for twin accommodation.
The Green and Blue rooms face onto the High Street and share a private bathroom with spa bath. A full, cooked breakfast is provided each morning.
The Withdrawing Room, with its open fireplace is a quiet place to relax, read or watch TV. Enjoy the private English style garden from seats on the verandah or within the garden itself.
Private car parking, beverage making and credit card / eftpos facilities are available. Pets and children can be accommodated by arrangement.

* Steam train from the Maldon station through the Muckleford Forest to Castlemaine.

* Carman's Tunnel and the Beehive mine site.

* Home to the Maldon Folk Festival and Tarrengower Hill Climb.
