Lavender Cottage
Nestled in the heart of the historic town of Dunolly you will find Lavender Cottage - stylish, self contained accommodation with all the comforts of home. The cottage is delightfully renovated and offers a cosy bedroom with ensuite, fully-equipped kitchen, alfresco meals area and comfortable lounge room with TV, VCR and CD player.
We have a number of videos for your use and a small library of books and magazines. Our reverse cycle air conditioner will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. The queen sized bed has an electric blanket. All bed linen and towels are provided for two adult guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped if you would like to prepare your own meals.
Alternatively, you can dine at the Royal Hotel dining room or The Railway Hotel just metres from the front door. Gourmet food hampers containing local wines and produce can be provided upon request.
Lavender Cottage is situated in the heart of Broadway, historic Dunolly's main street. Just next door is the former London Chartered Bank where the Welcome Stranger gold nugget was weighed and sold in 1857.
Throughout Dunolly you will discover many buildings classified by the National Trust and others full of charm.
Metres from your door you will find a licensed supermarket, two hotels, cafes, a bakery and many other shops. Try your hand at gold prospecting, cycle the marked bicycle tracks through the State Forest or simply put your feet up and relax.
Central Victoria is renowned for its fine wines and restaurants. Dunolly is ideally situated in close proximity to towns such as Maryborough, Bendigo, Ballarat, Maldon, Talbot, Clunes and Avoca, ensuring plenty to see and do.
Full payment is required before commencement of stay. Payment can be made by bank deposit or cheque. A minimum stay of two nights is required for all long weekends.
