Connor Park Winery
"The nucleus of the Connor Park vineyard is a block of shiraz planted by current winemaker Ross Lougoons' Uncle Tom in the late 1960s. Tom's other commitments meant that the vines were somewhat neglected until nephew Ross and wife Robyn took over in 1985. The Lougoons have since extended the vineyard and built a winery. In the homey cellar door room you can taste an improving range of wines. Of particular note are the concentrated reds made from Shiraz and Cabernet. A full-flavoured Sparkling Shiraz is worth grabbing when it's available." Ralph Kyte-Powell
