Kirrit Barreet Aboriginal Art and Cultural Centre
Kirrit Barreet Aboriginal Art and Cultural Centre is owned and operated by Aboriginal people.The centre was opened in 2005 and Kirrit Barreet means place of creation.
The centre consist of an art gallery, museum, retail shop and gardens. The aim of the centre is to preserve Koorie culture through education and art.
There are 6 exhibition per year and an artist in residence. Kirrit Barreet also has a education program for schools and tour groups.
The centre is open 7 days and entry is free. Daily tours are held at 11 am and 3 pm cost $5. Pricing for school and tour groups varies depending on the activities involved, please contact us for further details.
