We have created an approach to group travel that is relaxed and personal, allowing the individual guest to experience the Great Southern Touring Route, Kangaroo Island, the mighty Murray River and Mildura, Broken Hill and the surrounding National Parks, the Flinders Ranges, Ballarat and Sovereign Hill, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians National Park, Mount Gambier area and the Glenelg River, The Coorong National Park and vineyards around Langhorne Creek in an unforgettable way.
A mature and experienced Tour Manager guides all tours. Guest's requests are fulfilled wherever possible and spontaneity and flexibility are strength. Magic Tours uses selected scenarios and itineraries to provide guests with quality information and experiences. Beaches, rainforest and mountain settings are among the special places afforded by this stunning part of the world. Flexibility is possible due to the small group size and individual wishes can be accommodated. All tours focus on flora, fauna and easy hikes and we spend minimal time travelling. Our scheduled departures operate with a minimum of two and a maximum of 10 guests. Larger groups are also catered for on a charter basis.

Magic Flinders Outback Three Day TourDay One: Depart Adelaide city accommodation at approximately 7.30am-7.45am. We leave Adelaide and head north through picturesque countryside - grain-farming areas in particular. First stop at Burra, which is a very famous copper mining town. At Burra we will be exploring the history of these early mining days in Australia and we will also take you on a trip to the nearby mining sites. Tour around the historic township, now a mixture of historic buildings among very new dwellings. Continue north to 'Maggies Rendezvous' in Orroroo for a well-earned lunch break. After lunch visit South Australia's largest and oldest Eucalypt tree. Travelling north to Hawker, the gateway to the Central Flinders Ranges and reach our base near Wilpena Pound in the early evening. Overnight accommodation at Rawnsley Park Station, Wilpena area or similar. Lunch and dinner included. Day Two: After an early morning optional flight (extra costs and not included in the tour price) around Wilpena Pound we will enjoy a hearty breakfast. Following breakfast, drive to the Sacred Canyon walk along the creek bed inside the canyon to see some interesting Aboriginal paintings and carvings. Travel through the Bunyeroo Valley and Gorge to the intersection of the Brachina Geological Trail and Gorge and the famous Aroona Valley. Enjoy a delicious outdoor picnic near where Sir Hans Heysen used to paint his famous landscapes. Travel through time (geological formations are some 580 million years old) and encounter the sights of the true outback at the end of the Brachina Gorge. Return back to base through the Moralana Scenic Drive. Overnight accommodation at Rawnsley Park Station, Wilpena area or similar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Day Three: Visit the Yourambulla Caves where we will see ancient cave paintings left behind by Aborigines who lived here thousands of years ago. Travelling via Hawker and Quorn, home of the famous Pitchi Richi Railway, through vast grain farming holdings to Melrose/Wirrabara for lunch at Bluey Blundstones coffee house/Old Bakery. After lunch we continue towards the beautiful Clare Valley, which is famous for its wines. We will visit wineries for tastings and return late afternoon to Adelaide where we will transfer you to your city accommodation. Breakfast and lunch included. Operates: Sundays and Wednesdays. Magic Great Ocean Road Three Day TourDay One: Reliable Passenger Transport will transfer from your Adelaide city hotel to Adelaide Airport - pick up time is usually around 7.15am. Your domestic flight departs Adelaide for Mount Gambier at 8.30am, arriving at Mount Gambier Airport at 9.30am. Our Tour Manager will meet you to start your three-day sightseeing and adventure tour. A short tour of Mount Gambier includes the magnificent Blue Lake, a 5000-year-old extinct volcano. Departing Mount Gambier, we travel to (Gariwerd) the Grampians Mountains National Park. (Optional Coonawarra wine region detour is available). Lunch at one of many gourmet cafes enroute. Upon arrival in the Grampians, travel via the Serra and the Mount William ranges into the Grampians National Park to Halls Gap. We explore the spectacular views Victoria has to offer. Baroka and Reed's lookouts, plus hear stories of the Aboriginal culture. A chance to see kangaroos, wallabies and emus in the wild. There are over 850 different wildflowers native to the Grampians. We suggest dinner at the Kookaburra Restaurant, where local produce and specialties are served. A comprehensive selection of local wines is available. Overnight accommodation at the Colonial Motor Inn, Halls Gap (or similar). Includes lunch. Day Two: Leave the Grampians and travel through the foothills of the Mount William range, through Ararat to historical Ballarat. A Ballarat city highlights tour includes Lake Wendouree and the Botanic Gardens and the Gold Shop to see gold nuggets found by local prospectors. We will step back in time to the 1850s and relive the exciting vibrant Gold rush Era at Sovereign Hill. You can try your luck panning for gold in the creek, ride the Cobb & Co coach around the township, see the craftsmen at their trades, Candle maker, Undertaker, Blacksmith, Tinsmith and the steam boilers driving the period gold mining machinery. Explore the underground mine and see the miners crushing the quartz in search for that elusive fortune. Experience the exciting discovery of the Welcome nugget, one of the largest gold nugget discoveries in the world at the Red Hill diggings. Lunch in Ballarat. An option in the evening is the Blood on the Southern Cross sound and light show, telling the story of the Eureka rebellion in 1854. Overnight accommodation at Ballarat Lodge, Ballarat (or similar). Day Three: We travel across the western plains, lakes and crater district to Port Campbell, on the Shipwreck Coast, home of the famous 12 Apostles, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge natural rock formations, stopping for many photo opportunities. Many sailing ships were wrecked in this region during the exciting gold rush and pioneering era. Hear stories about the heroes and heroines of this time. We continue travelling through the Otway National Park with giant Mountain Ash eucalyptus trees and ferns to the seaside towns of Apollo Bay, Lorne and Anglesea, the surging Surf Coast on the Great Ocean Road. A chance to see koalas, echidnas, kangaroos in their natural habitat. Lunch is at one of many gourmet cafes enroute. Arrive in Melbourne via Geelong, late afternoon where we will be transferring you to your city hotel. Includes breakfast and lunch. Operates: Departs Adelaide on Thursdays. This tour is also available in reverse, departing from Melbourne on Mondays. Magic Southern Explorer Five Day TourDay One: Transfer by Reliable Passenger Transport from your Adelaide city accommodation to Adelaide Airport - pick up time is usually around 7.50am-8.10am. Your domestic flight departs for Kingscote on beautiful Kangaroo Island at 9.25am. Our Tour Manager will greet you at Kingscote Airport at approximately 9.55am. On arrival guests are given an orientation to Kangaroo Island, describing its history, layout and the forthcoming days itinerary. One of the most important features of the island is its wildlife in their natural habitats. Guests can hope to see kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, sea lions, Tamar wallabies, and a variety of bird life, wildflowers and Eucalyptus forests. Each season offers something different. Visit Seal Bay - home of the Australian Sea Lions and private properties where we take you off the beaten track to enjoy wildlife in the wild. Lunch is a gourmet picnic, arranged in the most suitable setting for the day - in the bush with koalas in the trees above, or by the sea. Overnight accommodation at Kangaroo Island Wilderness Resort (or similar). Lunch and dinner included. Day Two: The second day takes in more of the islands exciting wildlife experiences and highlights of the Island including Flinders Chase National Park - 74,000 hectares of natural bushland and with the absence of rabbits and foxes, Kangaroo Island's environment is unique. It also features the spectacular rock formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, created by erosion over millions of years. Guests will also be delighted by the antics of the New Zealand fur seals of the surrounding headlands. One of the last stops for the day is the habitat of the kangaroo, where time is spent exploring their environment and enjoying the peace and tranquillity in the hope of seeing them come out to graze.
