Harvest Home Country House Hotel
Harvest Home is all about slowing down, enjoying real food, with real people, around a real fire.
Built in 1869, it is one of Victoria's few original country hotels, complete with pressed metal ceilings, the original bar, a cellar for our extensive aged wine collection, an elegant formal dining room, a second dining room (called the red room - was originally the billiard room), a sitting room and an alcove for the grand piano.
Throughout the hotel an array of antique furniture, classic Australiana and objets d'art, show Suzi McKay's relationship with Harvest Home as that of a caring minder and loving trustee of a very special property.
It's also been given the nod by The Age Good Food Guide (being awarded one chef's hat in the 2007 guide) and just about every other foodie demi-bible in Australia.
Venture out and you'll find a swimming pool and function pavilion set in large organic gardens than span 5 properties. They are dotted with tables that invite you to sit, relax and partake of Suzi's famous charcuterie platter lunch, with a glass or two of matched regional (or aged) wines.
This classic country pub has been transformed into a gourmet getaway. On the second Sunday of each month Harvest Home hosts an afternoon organic produce market - book early and make a weekend of it.
Fifteen bedrooms in total. Mix of spa, en-suite and self contained accommodation available.
We also cater for weddings, functions, corporate events, and conferences with seven dining areas with seating for over 200.
Friendly dogs welcome. Bookings essential.
