Casbak Alpine Units are set in 3 acres of European trees and gardens which allows plenty of space for all our guests. The trees and gardens attract a large array of birds and wild life. AAA 3.5 Stars, fully self contained 1 & 2 Bedroom Units. All units have MWO, DVD, Gas Heating, Electric Blankets, all Towels, Linen & Bedding supplied. We have a guest s laundry with washing drying and iron facilities.
We are situated in the centre of Harrietville, with easy access to the General store, Cafes and Hotels for meals, coffees and entertainments. Harrietville has local walks, and a historical museum, for those looking for a touch of the past Gold mining era.
The Trout farm is an ideal place to go to entertain the kids catching their own tea to cook on the under cover Gas BBQ's on the Ovens River at Casbak. The Solar heated Pool, Playground, badminton & Recreation room allows hours of entertainment for the kids whilst Mum & Dad relax with a book or a wine that they have purchased at one of the many wineries in the High country region, all within an hours drive.
If you are after the more physical holiday there is always the opportunity for 4 wheel drive tours either drive yourself or you may like to bring your bikes and challenge yourself on the mountain roads or maybe a walk across Mt Feathertop, that is when you may like to use our sauna.
There is plenty to do with Trout fishing, Bike riding, Four Wheel driving, Cycling, Micro flights, Tandem Paragliding Bush walking, Visits to Deer , Trout , Lavender & Berry Farms, National Parks, Wineries, Mt Hotham, Mt Buffalo, & Falls Creek ski resorts.
