Clyde Cottage
Clyde Cottage is located an easy one hour drive up the Hume Freeway from Melbourne in the Trawool Valley, one of Victoria's best kept secrets.
The National Trust has listed the Trawool Valley as a heritage area and it is famous for its natural beauty and diverse range of Flora and Fauna. Clyde Cottage is situated in the middle of this unique area and has direct access to the unspoilt beauty of the Goulburn River which flows through the valley.
The cottage was built in the early 1900's and features the original wood lined walls and ceilings, and has been lovingly renovated to provide our guests with comfortable, self contained and private accommodation.
Clyde Cottage provides couples or families with the ideal base to explore this superb region; fishing or canoeing on the Goulburn River, exploring the local creeks and forests, visiting the numerous restaurants and vineyards or discovering the myriad of other attractions this area has to offer.
For the less adventurous you can doze in front of the wood fire, relax in our spacious gardens, or in summer laze around the pool.
A breakfast basket of local delicacies is provided in the cottage for you to prepare at your leisure in the fully equipped kitchen; lunches, picnic baskets and dinners featuring local produce can be provided on request; we can even provide gourmet pizzas from our own wood fired oven.
