Jetstar is Australia's new low fares airline. Our aim is to provide consistent low fares to the Australian domestic leisure traveller. Flying to/from Melbourne, Avalon, Adelaide, Brisbane Cairns, Gold Coast, Hamilton Island, Hervey Bay, Hobart, Launceston, Mackay, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Townsville and the Whitsunday Coast. Jetstar operates from both Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport and Avalon Airports. Services to and from Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane operate from Avalon, while all other routes operate from Tullamarine. At Melbourne Airport, Jetstar is located at the end of the Qantas Domestic Terminal. To get to Avalon Airport, please follow the freeway signs which will direct you to the airport and the Jetstar terminal. Jetstar operates Boeing 717 and brand new Airbus A320 aircraft. By mid 2006 we will operate 23 Airbus A320 aircraft which are currently being manufactured by Airbus in France. Our new A320 aircraft boast 177 leather seats which are 17.5 inches wide, with a seat structure that is slim-lined to provide room for our passengers. The in-flight service, Jetshop Cafe, features fresh food made simple. Scrumptious breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, along with a range of hot and cold beverages (including alcohol), is available for purchase. Jetstar offers a complimentary in-flight magazine. On our A320 aircraft, you can tune into JetSounds which offers a choice of eight programs to entertain you on your journey. Simply purchase your re-usable headsets onboard. Also on the A320 aircraft, you can now enjoy "Video on Demand" by renting a digEplayer(tm) from the cabin crew. Watch movies, TV shows, cartoons, music videos or listen to the latest music. Jetstar is proud to be the first Australian airline to offer digEplayer(tm) to passengers.
