Detour down the cliff road to the ocean beach and the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary.

Mushroom Reef breaks the ferocity of the ocean waves and provides a sandy beach with safe swimming for children. A variety of birds are attracted by the activity in the many rock pools.

Back on Golf Links Road continue up the hill and see magnificent views of the rugged ocean surf beach. Pass the hang glider launching platform and car park near the sixth green where radio controlled model aircraft are often to be seen.

Complete the circle back into Flinders Village past public tennis courts, park and well-equipped playground.
