Magnificent views of Bass Strait, Seal Rocks, The Nobbies, Phillip Island and the entrance to Western Port, a safe, deep water harbour used extensively by pleasure craft, fishing boats and commercial shipping. It is also home to a large pod of Bottlenose dolphins. The Western Port pilot boat is moored at Flinders pier, also used by nearby Flinders Yacht Club, visiting yachts and other craft.

Short walk to Flinders Village shops, hotel, cafes, restaurants, tennis courts, bowling club and public golf course. Flinders, until 50 years ago was just a fishing village, is part of Australian history through the voyages of Matthew Flinders and as the base station for the first undersea cable linking the mainland with Tasmania. The George Bass/Matthew Flinders memorial is just 100 metres from Five Oaks.

The Mornington Peninsula, Red Hill or Flinders in particular, is a renowned grape growing area. Many of the wineries have restaurants or tasting rooms attached. Boating, fishing, yachting and golf are other attractions. Five of Australia's best thirty golf courses can be found within twenty minutes drive.
