Kyabram Fauna Park
Exhibiting only Australian Wildlife, this non-profit community project is regarded as Northern Victoria's premier Wildlife attraction. 55 hectares of open Parkland and Wetlands abounding with Australian Flora and Fauna. Stroll amongst 200-year-old eucalypts. Watch Wallabies, Kangaroos, Geese & Ducks wandering freely throughout the Park. View our collection of animals housed in modern enclosures. Koalas, Wombats, Dingoes, Tasmanian Devils, Pademelons and much more.
Walk through Aviaries allows you to enjoy the company of Cockatoos, Pigeons, Parrots and rare Curlews - more than 80 species of birds are currently on display. For the true enthusiast, some 135 species of birds have been observed utilising the Park's environs, over the past 10 years.
A short walk from the Owl Exhibits, is a genuine 1860's settler's cottage, which takes pride of place amongst a diverse and interesting collection of early horse-drawn farm machinery and a Blacksmith's Shop.
The energy efficient, solar heated Reptile House exhibits a variety of species from throughout Australia, including Stone Country Crocodile, Northern Territory Pythons, Tree Snakes, Victorian Tiger Snakes and other species. Lizards can be found in outdoor exhibits with other species including Echidnas and Flying Foxes.
Known for its conservation programs with Fauna & Flora, the Park has successfully bred and managed many threatened and endangered species over the years. Also committed to Environmental Education, the Park provides a first class venue for regional Victoria, highlighted by the recent opening of the region's first Environmental Centre, providing visitors with an insight into unique fauna species and ecosystems of the region. Complementing this facility, the Waterfowl Viewing Hide, a modern air-conditioned, carpeted area, offers panoramic views of the extensive Wetlands.
