Sunraysia Discovery Tours conducts small personalized Eco tourism accredited tours into the World Heritage listed Mungo National Park which is situated 110 km north east of Mildura in the New South Wales outback.



Mungo was World Heritage listed in 1981 due to the incredible importance of ancient anthropology, geomorphology, the extinct mega fauna and it is the site of the oldest known common human occupation on earth.



Our Mungo National Park tours depart from Mildura every day between 8:00 - 8:30 am. People staying in the city of Mildura are picked up from their place of accommodation and are delivered back there between 4:00 - 4:30 in the afternoon. Our tours have no more than 20 passengers ensuring a very personal experience.



Our tour is a fully accredited Mungo National Park tour and is conducted by a commercially licensed guide who will show and explained the significance of this special area, whilst maintaining a minimal effect on this fragile landscape. The ancient lakebed is viewed from the lookout with the 'Walls of China' in the background. Walk on the natural phenomena, known as the 'Walls of China', amongst the geomorphologic structures while the history of this unique area is being explained. There is the information centre to wander through and some modern history with a tour through the Murray Pine woolshed which was built by the Chinese laborers in 1869.



Our package includes transport, entrance fees, accredited tour guide, morning tea, a packed lunch and refreshments.
