Panton Hill Vineyard and Winery
Panton Hill Winery is one of Melbournes closest wineries. The drive will take 45 minutes from Central Melbourne via the Eastern Freeway, or 35 minutes via the Eastern Ring Road from the Airport.
On arrival you'll have the feeling that you're somewhere in Southern Europe, but in an Australian bush setting. The buildings are timeless and constructed of sandstone and recycled timbers. Some parts have their origins in convict times. The property plays host to an abundance of wild life. Every manner of fruit tree as well as olives, vegetables and herbs are grown here using biological methods.
The stony, lean hillsides and mature, low-yielding vines are the first step in producing delicious, award winning wines with intense fruit flavours and beautiful complexity. All the classic Yarra Valley wines are produced such as: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc as well as Shiraz. Sweet wines include a light fruity Muscat, 20 year-old fortified Muscat, fortified spiced wine (Aromatica) and a unique Vintage Pinot Noir Port along with pink and white sparkling wines.
Panton Hill Winery is the perfect place to taste and learn about a wide variety of wines. You may like to relax with one of our delicious Mediterranean platters and a glass of wine out in the courtyard, or If it's cold, sitting in front of our huge open fire. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic lunches (no alcohol).
Hand crafted jewellery is on display, available for purchase all year round (on some occasions other art will be on exhibit as well). Winery tours and smaller groups of all types can be catered for. All enquires are welcome. Looking forward to seeing you!
