Europa Anchor
An unusual sight as you enter the town of Cervantes is the Europa Anchor. Displayed opposite the Cervantes Pinnacle Motel, the anchor was retrieved from the ship Europa which was wrecked off the coast of Cervantes.
Once you have read up on the history of the ship wreck, make sure you take advantage of the various attractions on offer in this charming town. You may like to relax on the pristine white sand of the popular Cervantes Beach or swim in the turquoise calm waters. Alternatively try your luck at fishing.
A visit to the area wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Pinnacles Desert within Nambung National Park. Allow several hours to walk around this extraordinary collection of limestone pillars rising up from the ground.
An easy three hour drive north of Perth, Cervantes is considered the gateway to the Coral Coast.
