Historical Cemeteries
On the west side of the Dandaragan Road, two kilometres south of the town, is a Catholic Cemetery which was opened about 1890 and fenced by Catholic residents. A date cut in one of the original fence posts reads 26.6.1890. The last burial took place in 1927 and the cemetery is now closed. There are five tombstones in the cemetery with a number of unmarked graves. Details of these burial sites can be obtained from the Dandaragan Shire Office on request.
In 1951 an area, situated two kilometres north of the town on the west side of the Dandaragan Road, was gazetted as a reserve for use as a cemetery. The cemetery was in use long before this official gazettal, with headstones in the cemetery dating back as far as 1896. This cemetery is maintained by the Shire of Dandaragan.
