Russ Cottage
Russ Cottage can be seen adjacent to the Irwin River Bridge on the road to Denison.
This was a small stone cottage built in 1870 and has been restored as near as possible to the original, and is typical of a farm workers cottage.
Furnished with items of past days including an organ brought to Western Australia in 1829 by the Dent family, whose child was the first white girl born in Western Australia.
On entering the front door of the cottage, a flood level marker indicates how high the nearby Irwin River rose during the record flood of 1971.
