Tenindewa Pioneer Well

The tiny siding of Tenindewa is located 18 kilometres from Mullewa along the Geraldton Road, on the boundary of the Woolya Reserve where the Pioneer Well is to be found.

It offers the visitor the opportunity to see the art of stone pitching which was common at its time of construction and has been covered in such a way to allow easy viewing while offering you protection from its vertical sides.

For those who enjoy a walk through the bush, it is accessible on foot from Tenindewa along a path which includes a stone footway across a salt area, once used by school children who attended the Tenindewa School which has long since been demolished.
