Walkaway Station Museum

The Walkaway Station Museum is an impressive museum which will be of great interest to any rail enthusiast or historian. Saunter through the beautiful old railway station building to visualise how the station would have operated in the late 1800s. See where the station master lived and worked and learn about the history of this small community. The museum is also home to the records of burials, a gun room and exploration room.

Whilst in the area, a 15 minute drive will bring you to Ellendale Pool, a tranquil watering hole created by the Greenough River and located at the bottom of impressive river cliffs. Stop for a picnic and dip in the refreshing waters, laze under the shade of the magnificent trees surrounding the pool and keep your eyes focused on the cliffs, where you can often see nesting Peregrine falcons.

The charming town of Walkaway is a short drive inland from Geraldton and four hours drive north of Perth.
