Beagle Island

Beagle Island is a 45 minute boat ride north of the charming Cray fishing village of Leeman. The area is renowned for its significant sea lion populations and it’s not unusual to spot one of these captivating creatures lazing in the sun on the beach.

Beagle Island is a breeding colony and home to the largest population of Australian Seal Lion in Western Australia, estimated between 150 to 250 animals depending on the breeding cycle.

The coastline of Leeman also boasts turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and limestone reefs for excellent snorkelling.
