Kangaroo Point
This beautiful beach is located less than eight kilometres from the Nambung National Park entrance and offers facilities such as a picnic shelter, gas barbeques and toilets. Kangaroo Point is home to many flora and fauna. Be sure to visit the beach at dawn or dusk and you’ll see how this beach got its name, as western grey kangaroos frequent the beach to graze on its vegetation. You may also see emus and white-tailed black-cockatoos who frequently visit the beach.
View the wildflowers during the season (June to November) on the two kilometre unsealed road (suitable for normal cars) to the Point, car park and beach.
To the north-west you can see Cervantes at Thirsty Point. Out to sea are the Cervantes Islands. The beach makes for excellent sunset viewing.
