Lake Indoon
Lake Indoon is a freshwater lake that has served as an aquatic playground since the late 1950s. The lake covers 130 hectares of the Lake Indoon Reserve with a depth varying from 1.5 metres to five metres depending on the seasons and rainfall.
Back in the 1930s when the lake was dry the owner built a windmill in lake basin. Part of the windmill can still be seen in the south west corner of the lake.
The lake is a popular spot for water skiing. Facilities include camping grounds around the lake, ablution blocks with hot water showers and a tank for drinking water. There are gas barbecues and a picnic area near the boat ramp on the north side of the lake. Bookings are not necessary for camp sites.
Jet skis are prohibited. As well as off road vehicles and four wheel drives. Visitors must stay on the designated road trails.
