The Loop and Z Bend
A drive of thirty-five kilometres just out of Kalbarri leads to these beauty spots, where you are made truly aware of the beauty and artistry of nature.
The views are spectacular with dramatic cliffs banded in cream and deep red, dropping sheer to the river far below.
The Loop is so named because here a section of the Murchison River meanders and forms enormous loops. At the Z Bend, the Murchison River flows through a narrow ravine.
The Loop and Z Bend are part of the Kalbarri National Park.
There are picnic tables and toilet facilites at each gorge. There are a free gas barbecues at the Z Bend parking area and Loop.
