Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) Wheat Storage and Transfer Depot, Merredin
The Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) Wheat Storage and Transfer Depot was commenced in 1966 and additional cells were added in 1978 and 1998.
Storage consists of Tall cells with a total capacity of 15,000 tonnes of grain. Horizontal E type storage capable of holding 220,000 tonnes. This has a length of 610 metres and a width of 59 metres. It is the Company's largest and is the longest horizontal storage bin in the southern hemisphere. Recent additions include eight bulk heads for grain storage.
CBH Merredin is the largest inland receival point in the State.
