Giant Ram Tourist Park
If you enjoy checking out all things ‘big’ you must visit the Giant Ram Tourist Park in Wagin. The Big Ram (also known as the Giant Ram) is the second largest in the southern hemisphere, measuring fifteen metres in length and seven metres in height. The grounds surrounding the Big Ram have been landscaped and are ideal for picnics or simply relaxing.
The Giant Ram Tourist Park was officially opened on the 14th of September 1985 by the Honorable DK Dans, Minister for Tourism. The majestic structure celebrates the town’s prosperity and reliance on the wool industry. Picnic tables and toilet facilities are available for use.
Wagin is a three hour drive from Perth and is a quintessential Western Australian wheat and sheep farming town, with a range of interesting attractions including Woolorama, a Heritage Walk and a Social History Museum.
