The Hamersley Drive Heritage Trail Scenic Drive offers a picturesque tour of the Fitzgerald River National Park and surrounding towns. Discover the dramatic coastline and enjoy the panoramic views offered at several lookouts along the way.
Keep eyes out for the Southern Right whales gliding through the ocean. Explore the river by canoe or fish from the shoreline. Bird watchers will appreciate the chance to observe over 200 species of birds that live in the national park
Stop for lunch at one of the designated picnic sites before continuing on this spectacular scenic drive. Allow a full day to complete the drive at a comfortable pace. If time permits, explore the park further by camping overnight at one of the many campsites on offer.
The scenic drive commences at Ravensthorpe, seven hours southeast of Perth. A helpful guide can be collected from the town’s visitor centre. Whilst in Ravensthorpe explore the farming town on foot along the two hour Cattlin Creek Heritage Trail.
