Old Gentleman's Club

The Old Gentlemen’s Club is one of many elaborate buildings worth visiting in the charming mining town of Cue. Office for many important and influential companies in the late 1800s, and home of the Murchison Club, the building was frequented by influential business people from around the world.

Herbert Hoover often stayed at the Club, which is now home to the town’s Shire Council. Though not open for tours, it is worth capturing a beautiful photo of the façade.

Walk the streets of the remote town of Cue to explore the large number of restored and beautifully maintained buildings. Visit the old gaol, the post office and government buildings, the railway station and Bell’s Emporium to gain an appreciation for the life lead by the pioneers of this town in the 1890s. Awarded the Heritage Award in 2004, the people of Cue take great pride in the town and its superb architecture.

The remote town of Cue is a seven hour drive north of Perth and an hour south of Meekatharra.
