Reservoir

Located adjacent to route 94 on western approach to Southern Cross.
Wimmera Hill the was site of first major gold discovery in Western Australia. A fine panoramic view of Southern Cross and surrounding farmlands from here.

The reservoir was cut into solid rock. 1,245 feet above sea level.
Capacity a quarter of a million gallons. Constructed in 1903 it was connected to the Coolgardie Water Main.
