Stone Fences

In the 1880's pioneer farmers in the district built fine stone fences to enclose their stock. There are miles of stone fences which now act as barriers against erosion. These are still visible in the area.

Many of these stone fences are near Balladonia Rocks which are situated near the Balladonia Road House and offer spectacular views of the surrounding plains of the Nullarbor.

Balladonia is two hours east of Norseman and 984 kilometres east of Perth at the start of the Nullarbor Plain.
