Wattoning Historical Site
Wattoning is a significant historical settlement located one and a half kilometres west of the intersection of Mukinbudin North and Wattoning West Road.
Precious water was carted from a Gnamma Hole (water lifted by a bucket tied to a rope), a soak, a two wells constructed by skilled early pastoralists. Three lonely graves of two babies and a pioneer remind us of times gone by. The remains of an early homestead with fruit trees is also situated at the site.
