School of Mines Rock and Minerals Museum
This old fashioned display is almost a museum in itself. Long used as a learning centre for School of Mines students.
This world famous museum features fascinating displays and specimens of local minerals, tektites, meteorites, gemstones and gold nuggets, including replicas of the more famous nuggets found in the Goldfields.
Of special interest are the replicas of the larger nuggets which have been found over the years, including the Golden Eagle which was discovered in 1931 near Coolgardie weighing an incredible 32,177 grams.
