Koolanooka Springs is home to a spectacular wildflower display and also provides an opportunity to witness an abundance of native animals in their natural surroundings.

Koolanooka Springs is a short fifteen minute drive from Morawa and is an ideal location for a picnic. Meander along the nature trails to discover the beauty of the region. Keep a close eye out for the Grevillea Tenuiloba which is the floral emblem of Morawa. Climb the rock formations to gain a scenic view and photo opportunity of the countryside.

The farming town of Morawa is home to one of the Monsignor John Hawes’ renowned churches. A priest at the Church of Holy Cross he designed and help build, Hawes played a significant role in the development of this region. Marvel at his handwork before moving onto the town’s museum to learn about the history of the region.

To discover more of the region, take the self drive Perenjori-Rothsay Heritage Trail and explore part of the Rabbit Proof Fence. The momentous feat of building a fence to keep rabbits off farming land runs for over 2000 kilometres. Morawa is a four hour drive north of Perth.
