Pintharuka Dam

The dam was sunk in 1936 for settlers use with water guided to the dam by a series of rock walls and drains built by Depression Relief Employment. Today the surrounding area supports a variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and wildflowers.

The war rock is located near the dam and legend has it that it received its name after a boundary war between local Aboriginal tribes.
