Totadgin Dam Reserve

11 kilometres south of Merriden on Bruce Rock Road is this small nature reserve comprising of woodland and heathland surrounding a granite outcrop.

Totadgin Dam Reserve was a favourite watering hole back in the days of the horse and cart. The reserve boasts attractive picnic areas, seasonal wildflowers and the Totadgin Rock which has a colourful wave formation like that of Wave Rock.

Popular with birdwatchers, the reserve is home to a number of birds including the Southern Boobrook, White-eared Honeyeater, Weebill, and the Chestnut-rumped Thornbill.
