Finders Keepers Super Pit TourA tour of Australia's largest gold producing mine the Super Pit is a must on your next Kalgoorlie-Boulder visit. Feel what it's like to be a miner and throw on the provided hi-visibilty vest, hard hat and a pair of safety glasses. Become visitor inducted to the KCGM Super Pit and view first hand the mining and milling operations from the safety of the Finders Keepers four wheel drive safari truck. Be amazed by the size of the machinery (CAT 793 haul trucks) and watch a Komatsu PC 8000 face shovel load a haul truck from the internal lookout, Harvey Hut. See the old miner's workings with old shafts visible in the Super Pit walls and gain an understanding of the ore processing as we drive through the Fimiston Milling Plant. Did you know that, up to 800,000 ounces of gold a year are produced from the Fimiston Open Pit (Super Pit) and the underground operation Mount Charlotte. That's a lot of Gold! The tour includes; a visitor video induction, guided commentary into and around the Super Pit, PPE and certificate of completion.
