Old Town Site
As a consequence of the resiting of Onslow, virtually all the transportable buildings were removed leaving behind only the stone and cement buildings owned by the state government, principally the Police Station, Gaol, Post Office and Hospital.
The cemetery and a number of other relics were also left, including the unwanted parts of the tramway, which led to the old jetty some distance to the north east of the town.
Old bollards several hundred metres back from the present riverbank mark the location of the first landing jetty used by pearling luggers and lighters, which serviced cargo vessels calling at Onslow.
