Warmun Community

Warmun Community’s principal tourism venture, the Turkey Creek Roadhouse, is conveniently located at the gateway to the Purnululu National Park. It is a great place to purchase top quality Aboriginal art from world renowned artists including Queenie McKenzie and Madigan Thomas.

The Warmun Art Centre provides Aboriginal artists with economic independence and the opportunity to share their culture with visitors. Operating as a working studio, the art centre is located in a new architect designed purpose built exhibition centre.

Camping, accommodation, meals, souvenirs and fuel can all be purchased from the roadhouse. It is also a good base where you can link up with overland four-wheel drive tour operators, scenic flights and helicopter tours departing to visit the nearby Purnululu National Park.

The Warmun Community itself is closed to the public, though you can obtain a verbal permit to enter and visit the Art Centre by calling 08 9168 7496.

Well located on the Great Northern Highway, Warmun Community is a two and a half hour drive south of Kununurra heading towards Halls Creek.
