Myalls Bore

A huge cattle trough that is believed to be the longest in the southern hemisphere. It measures 120 metres by 1.2 metres by 51 cemtimetres deep. It was filled from a 322 metre deep artisan bore drilled in 1911.

Located on the way to the prison boab tree, approximately six kilometres from Derby and 100 metres off the Great Northern Highway. Myalls Bore has been capped as a water conservation measure. The trough contains water now pumped by a windmill. Adjacent is a botanical trail and the boab prison tree.
