Tour 2A - Bungle Bungle Air/Ground ExperienceExperience is all! Enjoy the sights of the Tour 4 Scenic Flight with the added adventure of walking through the Bungle Bungles mighty domes on an informative ground tour. Depart Kununurra, following the flight path of Tour 4 before landing at Bellburn Airstrip in Purnululu National Park. Here you will be picked up in an air-conditioned four wheel drive vehicle for your ground tour. Walk through the beehive domes of Piccaninny Creek and enjoy a picnic lunch in the cool surrounds of Cathedral Gorge Amphitheatre. Light refreshments are served in the comfort of the base camp before being transferred to the airstrip for your scenic flight home. Tour 2B - Bungle Bungle Air/Ground Experience (Two Gorges)A more comprehensive Bungle Bungle experience. Tour path is as per Tour 2A, with walks in Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge, with the addition of Echidna Chasm and its dramatic sheer walls and Livistona Fan Palms. This is a tour for those wanting to make the most out of their Bungles visit. Tour 4 - Bungles Scenic FlightAn exhilarating two hour scenic flight encompassing the World Heritage Listed Bungle Bungle Ranges, and some of the most spectacular scenery the East Kimberley has to offer. Taking off from Kununurra, view the Diversion Dam Wall and the Ord River Irrigation Area, highlighting our vast, fertile farming lands. Following Lake Kununurra and crossing the Carr Boyd Ranges we encounter the immense body of water, Lake Argyle, classified as an inland sea. See the Argyle Downs Homestead and the Ord River Dam Wall. Continuing south we enter cattle territory, overflying Lissadell and Texas Downs Stations before arriving at Purnululu National Park, where you will spend 20 minutes orbiting the unique Bungle Bungle Ranges. On the return journey, view the famous Argyle Diamond Mine and Ragged Ranges before landing. Tour 5- Kimberely the WorksDepart Kununurra and follow the Lower Ord River, towards the historic Port of Wyndham, over Cambridge Gulf, where you meet the Kimberley coast. Pass the Berkeley River before orbiting the impressive King George Falls and Kalumburu Aboriginal Community. On arrival at Mungalalu Truscott, site of a secret historic world war two RAAF airbase, you will be met by an Uunguu guide. Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owners guide you on a ground tour which uniquely combines world war two history and Wanjina Wunggurr culture. Explore Mungalalu Truscott in a four wheel drive bus and take short walks. Visit the crash site of Liberator A72-160, depot, camps and the marine base at West Bay. The Garmbemirri cultural walk is followed by damper and billy tea. Then board your aircraft and head to Mitchell Plateau where you will orbit the spectacular Mitchell Falls. From here head inland to your next stop at Home Valley Station, a cattle station on the Gibb River Road. Here you will have the chance to enjoy lunch at Dusty Bar and Grill, take a refreshing swim in the pool or just relax, taking in the rustic atmosphere. Fly alongside the magnificent Cockburn Ranges on your return to Kununurra. Tour AT1 - Australia the Moview - The Scenic FlightAustralia is a sweeping romantic adventure by acclaimed writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann. Experience the grandeur of the epic Kimberley landscape featured in Australia the movie. Depart Kununurra and follow the Lower Ord River, keeping your eyes open for salt water crocodiles! Pass Ivanhoe Crossing, which you will recognise from the film before orbiting House Roof Hill, the site of Faraway Downs in the film. From here track north to the historic port of Wyndham where the five rivers meet at Cambridge Gulf. Fly over dramatic tidal flats, before entering cattle country and overflying Diggers Rest. As you reach the tip of the Cockburn Ranges you will see Home Valley Station and the Gibb River Road, crossing the Pentecost River. This area is where Baz Luhrmann first started planning the film Australia. We continue along the stunning Cockburn Ranges, which feature heavily in the film, and back to the Ord River Irrigation Area and Kununurra. Tour AT2 - Australia the Movie - The TourAustralia is a sweeping romantic adventure by acclaimed writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann. Experience the grandeur of the epic Kimberley landscape featured in Australia the movie. Depart Kununurra and follow the Lower Ord River, passing Ivanhoe Crossing, before orbiting House Roof Hill, the site of 'Faraway Downs'. From here track north to the historic port of Wyndham, where the five rivers meet at Cambridge Gulf. Fly over dramatic tidal flats, before entering cattle country and overflying Diggers Rest. We continue along the stunning Cockburn Ranges, which feature heavily in the film, and back to the Ord River Irrigation Area and Kununurra. Tour D - The Best of Kununurra in one tourCombine four of the best tours Kununurra has to offer into one! Fly/Cruise and Drive, this tour can be taken over two days, or all in the one day if time is short. Depart Kununurra Airport for your Bungle Bungle Scenic Flight (for flight path see Tour 4). Following the flight you will be transferred to Lake Argyle for a morning tea cruise. The cruise takes two hours and covers the scenic highlights of Lake Argyle including the magnificent dam wall. After which you will visit the Argyle Homestead Museum and scenic lookout. Lunch will be available from the village (at your own expense), transfer to the boat for your Triple J Cruise following 55 kilometres of the spectacular Ord River and taking in a Kimberley sunset. Tour F - Floatplace Scenic FlightExperience the unique trill of a water take-off and landing. This tour offers you a spectacular low level scenic flight along Lake Kununurra and the upper Ord River. Wind through the amazing gorges and fast flowing rapids as you travel down to Lake Argyle and view this massive expanse of water and the Ord Top Dam. Return to Kununurra along the Spillway Creek, the Packsaddle Plains and the Ord River Irrigation Area before a water landing back on the Lake Kununurra.
