Kimberley Spiritual ExperienceColin and Maria Morgan with their family at Wundargoodie Aboriginal Safaris joined with Mike Beckingham, a Kokoda trekker and explorer, offer a unique journey into the remote northern Kimberley to connect with the spirit and culture of this ancient land and its people. You will get to visit powerful places away from the usual tourist spots and see the Kimberley through the eyes of the traditional owners of this ancient land. The trip starts in Kununurra and heads west stopping at beautiful places along the Gibb River Road. You then travel north to the King Edward River and the amazing Mitchell Plateau where you will spend three to four days. You will swim in beautiful unspoilt gorges, sit around a campfire and hear stories of the Dreaming and sleep under the billions of stars above. This is a journey, for a maximum of 12 people, who wish to explore themselves and raise their consciousness in the dramatic and powerful setting of the Kimberley. Rock Art ToursAboriginal carvings and paintings, bark paintings, wood carvings and sand carvings are part of culture. They represent stories from the Dreamtime that have been passed down through the generations by tribal Elders. The paintings record Dreaming stories, rituals and ceremonies that link the people and the land. The Kimberley contains some of the most famous and ancient rock art in the world. With Wundargoodie Aboriginal Safaris you can see many more with your own eyes, accompanied by explanations and related Dreamtime stories told by the Indigenous custodians. You'll discover and be amazed by the Wandjina and Gwee-yorn (Bradshaw) rock art. The art is interpreted by your Aboriginal guide and you'll have privellaged access to visit activity sites. Feel the presence of our ancestors as you walk through places where they once lived and roamed. | |
