Darngku Heritage Cruises provide the opportunity for you to see the magnificent features of Darngku, Geikie Gorge National Park, in the West Kimberley, through the eyes of its traditional Aboriginal owners.
With your Bunuba guides you will cruise the placid waters of Geikie Gorge, climb Bunbura Lookout on the top of the Napier Range, hear the story of Mangunambi and look for bush foods on the Larrawan Walk. Fresh water crocodiles and bird life abound. Fish in the waters of the Fitzroy River in Darngku are the home of barramundi, fresh water sharks, bream and other species. Charter fishing tours are offered on application. Lunch beside the Fitzroy River is included on some departures.
Your comfort and safety is important to us. Their guides carry two way radios with them for communication.
You must wear covered footwear on their cruises and have appropriate protection against the sun.

Guided WalkEnjoy a guided walk along an ancient reef to the West Wall of Geikie Gorge. Be transported by boat to the other side of the mighty Fitzroy River. Climb to the Scenic Lookout and view the magnificent panoramic scenery. Return to the boat and enjoy a leisurely cruise back to the dock. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear for walking and climbing and bring a hat and water bottle. Half Day TourExperience Geikie Gorge through the eyes of the traditional owners. With your Aboriginal guides, you will cruise the placid waters of Geikie Gorge, climb Bunburra Lookout, hear the story of Mangunambi, and look for bush foods on the Larruwan walk. After a leisurely lunch beside the river a cruise back to the dock completes the tour. Morning tea, cool drink and lunch provided.
