Buccaneer Explorer After take off, you fly over Broome and Cable Beach heading north across the Dampier Peninsula and King Sound to the Horizontal Waterfalls which are a natural phenomenon created by one of the highest tides in the world flowing in a white-water plume through two narrow openings. You circle this area in both directions allowing photo opportunities. Next is Talbot Bay Pearl Farm and then onto the hundreds of deserted islands in the Buccaneer Archipelago, over flying the famous open-cut iron-ore mines at Koolan and Cockatoo Islands. Landing at Cape Leveque you enjoy refreshments, overlooking the Indian Ocean. A swim in the sheltered waters of the bay is a refreshing treat for passengers, with access to beach facilities. The flight back to Broome is along the many bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula's west coast, including Willie Creek and the famous Cable Beach. Bungle Bungle Great Adventure Flying to the Bungle Bungle we pass some of the best Kimberley attractions Fitzroy River and King Leopold Ranges and Geikie Gorge. On arrival at the Bungle Bungle (or Purnululu National Park) you over-fly the entire massif orange striped and bee-hive shaped rock formations. After landing at the strip, you transfer to a four wheel drive vehicle and drive to Cathedral Gorge. After walking the length of Cathedral Gorge, lunch is served alongside a natural pool in the aptly named cathedral-style cavern. Departure from the Bungle Bungle is around 2:30pm with a different direction flight routing on the return journey flying over Windjana Gorge. The flight arrives in Broome approximately 5:30pm. Kimberley Explorer After departure, you fly across vast cattle country to Fitzroy Crossing. Here you join a boat cruise on the mighty Fitzroy River through Geikie Gorge. The rock formations and colours of this ancient reef system are simply awe-inspiring, and fresh water crocodiles will often put in an appearance for the keen photographers. After a tour of Fitzroy Crossing, we over fly Windjana Gorge formed by the Lennard River cutting through a 350 million year old Devonian period reef. The full length of Windjana Gorge can be viewed as we fly onto Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge for lunch. After Mount Hart the next major attraction is the Horizontal Waterfalls. The tour returns to Broome approximately 5:30pm.
